Omni Agent: a case study by LAIN

A landing page and a dashboard for Omni Agent, an AI copilot for teams: a near-white paper ground, warm cream cards, one signal orange, plain headlines with a serif italic second line, and a mark made of a circle and four others.

Omni Agent is an AI copilot for teams. You describe the work in a sentence and agents with access to your projects get on with it: they read, check, plan and report back. LAIN designed its landing page and its dashboard, a warm paper-light interface with one signal orange, plain headlines that finish in a serif italic, and a four-petal mark that does the thinking.

Website design, dashboard design

2026

Explain it once.
See it done.

Most tools for working with AI show their machinery: models, prompts, settings, panels. Omni Agent promises the opposite. You explain the problem, the agent listens, and the work appears. The design had to carry that promise from the first screen: one question box, a short answer, and nothing in between.

So the system is made of very little. A near-white paper ground, a hairline ten-column grid, warm cream cards and one orange for everything that acts. Whatever the product can do is shown the way it is used: as small cards on a canvas, joined by dashed lines.

The mark cast in glass: the same four petals, as rendered for the thumbnail

Four petals,
one circle.

The mark is a circle and four others. A disc is the window; four equal circles, each centred just inside a corner of its square, show through it as petals. Between them is a star of empty space, the sparkle that has come to mean AI, and the mark never draws it. It is the gap.

  1. A circle in a square, two axes and the diagonals the four circles hang from.
  2. Four equal circles, each centred just inside a corner of the square. Side by side they stop a fortieth of the mark short of touching.
  3. The first circle is the window: everything outside it is cut away. What is left is four petals round a star of empty space.

Paper, cream
and one orange.

The ground is a near-white paper, panels are a warm cream and a single deep orange carries every button, line and mark. Two lighter ambers, taken from the glass render of the mark, only ever appear inside gradients. Headlines are a plain sans with their second line in a serif italic, always in orange.

Ask once.
It does the rest.

The promise of the product is one sentence: you explain the pain and the agent listens. This chapter plays it with the design's own pieces. Scroll and a request is typed into the composer, its words are picked out, the mark thinks and four dashed lines run out to four sources. Each is read in turn and what it finds lands in the card the landing page shows. Move the pointer over a source and its line comes alive.

A request, typed the way you would say it to a colleague.

The words that matter are picked out: when, what and where.

The mark thinks, and four dashed lines run out to four sources, each read in turn.

What was found comes back as a short list, with the next step offered.

A workspace that
stays out of the way.

The dashboard opens on a single question. Projects live in a quiet sidebar, three starting points sit under the composer as small cards, and the mark is the only thing allowed to be bright. The first screen is the answer to the only question the product asks: what do you want to do?

The sidebar: agents grouped by project, a search, and the plan card at the foot

The composer: one line to ask in, two chips to attach, one button to send

A page that
shows the work.

One long page that explains the product by showing it: the dashboard in a laptop frame with a chat card tilted off it, a hub of four capabilities joined by dashed lines, a workflow canvas, three plans and a closing call in solid orange. The dashboard itself is shown beside it, at its own width.

The signed-in view: the sidebar, one composer and three places to start.

The pieces,
one by one.

The same few moves everywhere: a headline that ends in an italic, a cream panel on the paper, a hairline grid behind it and one orange button. These are the sections, cut from the page.

One dashboard, four ideas: access, tools, tracking and an encrypted workflow, each drawn as its own small diagram

The workflow canvas: cards for each step, an orange connector between them, and what it promises on the left

Three plans, the middle one in cream and the most popular

Ten slides,
one swipe.

The landing page told as a post: the dashboard coming into frame, the hero, the hub of four capabilities, the tools around the mark, the workflow studio and a last orange slide with the name. Eight of the ten slides are clips.
